There’s something about an elopement which is so achingly romantic. Running away and saying ‘I do’ with just the 2 of you seems like a fairytale way to tie the knot. So when Jinglin first contacted us to say that she was looking for a wedding photographer for her elopement who could create “natural images, as from a movie camera, which are filled with colour and playful of light and shade”, we were over the moon.
Jinglin- and her husband, Zhiru- are 2 of the sweetest people we have ever met. They are both originally from China, and with no family in the UK, they decided on a wedding which would be an intimate, loving, relaxed affair, with nobody there but them (and Geoff).
Their ceremony, at Crawley Register Office, was short, simple, and incredibly sweet. Afterwards, they opted to spend some time together amongst the romantic landscapes of Nymans– a National Trust garden in West Sussex.
These images will allow Jinglin & Zhiru’s family and friends to share in their love even thought they weren’t there on the day. Which makes us feel really rather good… and a bit teary eyed, actually.
To be the only guests (and the witnesses) at a wedding is such an intimate, emotional experience, and we are absolutely honoured to have been a part of Jinglin & Zhiru’s incredibly special day.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, creative wedding photographer, please do get in touch… we’d love to hear all about your wedding plans and ideas.
